After 10 years of making the finest competition holsters in the USA, we realized that sometimes, some people just need a good quality product at an affordable price to take their favorite Rival and Rival-S to the range. Premium Kydex was still super important to us, but making the quality of Red Hill Tactical available to all was equally important.
With that in mind, we set out to reduce options, and reduce production time and have a package that is ready to ship today for you. We wanted to take some of the lead times that people are used to with a Rival and Rival-S custom holster makers and start to make it a thing of the past. In order to do this, we are starting with our most popular gun models, eliminating the options that take time and building a holster that we are proudly making in the USA.
This package comes with a super heavy duty 0.125 Kydex instead of our normal two layers of .08. You get almost the same thickness as our famous double layer, but in one sheet. This allows us to streamline the manufacturing process to reduce some of the production time.
We also modified the cut somewhat on the range ready holster. We know not everyone is going to compete with their gear, so we made a shallower scoop cut in order to maintain more rigidity to the holster. We then sent these holsters to many of our sponsored shooters in order to test the speed and longevity of the design. Everyone was very happy, as they kept most of the speed, and were able to have a bit more protection to the gun.
The magazine pouch is our closed front design that allows for a quick draw of the magazine, while maintaining levels of retention that meet our needs. Again, this is made from 0.125 Kydex to make a super strong product that just works.
For this package, we also include the necessary attachments to work with most belts. The latching loop we include works from belts as narrow as 1” to as thick as 2”. This will allow many duty, and rigger belts to be used.
